Happy New Year everyone! One of my resolutions is to stay organized at work… as I was throwing away my Lilly Pulitzer wall calendar, I noticed that each month had a triangle-punch out. Of course, only Lilly would do something that cute! So I decided to use them to make a To Do list on the huge [ugly] bulletin board in my office. I think it came out pretty good! Now all I need to do is fill in the post-it notes… :)
Hope everyone has a safe and happy new years eve!
After putzing around with this website for a while, I’ve decided to make it into more of a blog. The title of this post pretty accurately sums up my life. I found out on Thursday that I have shingles. I know, who gets shingles?! This girl apparently. It’s not too bad. I don’t really have the option to miss work this week–so I will be powering through.
The wedding planning continues. We’ve booked the venue, church, and photographer. I really need to step it up on the planning front. There is just so much to do–sometimes when I look at the list it’s overwhelming. The next big thing we have to do is send out save the dates, which involves actually deciding on a guest list and getting updated addresses from everyone. If anyone out there would like to be my pro bono wedding planner, please send me your resume.
The new job is going well! One moment I’ll be going over a case thinking to myself, “what the hell am I supposed to do with this?” And the next moment I’ll say something that makes me really feel like I know what I’m doing. I’ve learned more in the last three months of this new job than I did during three years of law school. No offense to law school, but being in the real world is a much better teaching tool. And while I still get terrified every time I stand up in court, that’s sure to go away soon? Right? Ehhh, probably not.
Graduated law school? Done.
Got my dream job? Done.
Engaged to the love of my life? Yup.
Passed the bar? Yup.
the dunzo to end them all. done with the bar exam!
won’t find out if I passed until November. Here’s hoping.
If you need me I’ll be thoroughly enjoying having free time again.
Amazing invention I just discovered… cute colored Japanese masking tape (aka Washi Tape). Perfect for the planner-obsessed woman (guilty). I ordered mine from http://www.omiyage.ca but I’m sure there are many other sites!
